Numerical analysis on heat transfer and flow resistance performances of a heat exchanger with novel perforated wavy fins

The experimental and numerical studies of thermo-hydraulic characteristics perforated wavy fin heat exchanger unperforated were conducted. Firstly, the two kinds fins studied under different air in?let velocity constant inlet temperature. results show that Nusselt number increases with Reynolds friction factor decreases number. Then, performance is numerically analyzed, simulation are in good agreement data. On this basis, influence parameters (fin height, H, pitch, s, wave amplitude, wa, perforation number, n, diameter, d) on thermal discussed. It indicated increase increasing aperture, pitch or decreasing height condition. Finally, evaluation exchangers carried out to obtain best parameters, which can provide a reference for design new exchanger.
